One of the significant factors fueling this change is the evolving demographics of India. The rise of the middle class and the changing needs of homebuyers, especially post-COVID, have created an unprecedented demand for housing. Owning a home has moved from being a distant dream to an essential goal for individuals, especially the younger generation. Today, even individuals in their early 30s are investing in their first homes, something that was previously seen only in the older generations nearing retirement.
The migration from rural to urban areas – or even from urban to suburban areas – is at an all-time high, creating significant opportunities for developers. While metropolitan cities like Bengaluru and others continue to grow, we must also focus on the development of Tier 2 cities. These cities, along with district and taluka headquarters, will play an instrumental role in the growth of India’s economy as we move towards the ambitious goal of a 5-trillion-dollar economy. This provides a tremendous opportunity for all of us, and we must seize it.
